If you are new at the Vegetarian Lifestyle you may want to use only 1 or 2 recipes for the first week and increase the number by 1 or 2 each week until you find the recipes that you like the best. This Cookbook is one that has been put together as a part of our ministry. Note this is a "Vegetarian Temperance Alternative. Do not laugh at the simplicity of the subject because here is what that means.

Temperance – Moderation in that which is healthful, and Abstemiousness in that which is not healthful, or that which is toxic to the body. (Such as Junk Food, Spirits, Alcohol, Beer, Wine, Baking Soda and Baking Powder {with or without aluminum}, and Vinegar, food coloring, most preservatives, tannins, caffeine, Prescription or Non-Prescription OTC Medicines Drugs vitamin and mineral supplements ect… that do not maintain health, and that are not necessary for temporary patch-ups.) We should try to get our body needs from food and from our 10 Free Doctors.
Alternatives – that which is an alternative of “The Good Life” Health Destroying substances we eat and ingest every day. Meat, Vinegar, Caffeine, OTC medicines, Vitamin and Mineral supplements that are not found in the food we eat and drink.
There are 3 alternatives to eggs for the person who does not like the use of eggs and wants alternatives to cook with. We do use some eggs in the cook book and at home but most of the recipes can use the egg substitute's and still come out eye appealing and tasty.
By request only: Recipes for anyone desiring tofu recipes we have a list of 10 recipes of different ways to use Tofu from Lasagina to Sausage for using on pizza (sorry no meat scorce here), sauces but my favorite ways are to mix with flour or cornmeal and seasoning of choice for frying in the pan on the stove. I love Tofu and all the ways you can fix it. Sorry we do not have any desert tofu recipes at this time.

| This is a cookbook for the beginner in vegetarian cooking. But it is also for the advanced vegetarian cook. You have 100 + cookbooks already or you have a few that you use all the time this cookbook is unique in the fact that it was created to help find alternatives to Meat, Cheese, Dairy, Baking Soda and Powder, and Vinegar. The Recipes are very tasty and can be used in place of cheese for example but is not got no dairy products. Most recipes are dairy free but there is about 2 dozen or less that use egg these can be replaced with Garbanzo eggs, that is one can of Garbanzo’s and 1 blender. Dump the Garbanzo’s and liquid into the blender and puree till smooth. Use ¼ cup to replace 1 egg in any recipe calling for egg. Loaf, patty, muffins, ect… caution it does not taste like egg and it does not cook on the stove like egg you can use it as a binder and that part works well but if you are looking for the egg flavor or the look that eggs give to patties or loaf that part is missing but the flavor although different is wonderful. | ||||

1. Cookbook is recipes collected and used for many years from Mary and Renita Minor.
2. One Cookbook to come the recipes were collected and organized in 1994 for a class project. Renita had to choose the topic of study and collect and use 40 recipes. The project she choose was not popular at the time and consisted of Low fat recipes. The grade she got was a C+ for the class but was told that the recipes looked like they would taste good but there was no really need, because at the time a low fat diet was not popular and the school was not understanding the principle. This is one of a potential of 5 cookbooks that will be created as money and organization are available. At the Ministry we leave the oil off now I cook low fat 89% all of the time. Yes we still fry at times but most of the time we are able to find tasty lower fat alternatives.
3. In our possession we have recipes of 1000+ to go on line when the webhost arrives and we get funding for paying a typist for 6 or 8 months and I can get time for him to get started putting them in place and the funds come in for the pay check. all recipes on line will be free of charge for your personal use.
