Hymn 365 - "Jesus, our Lord, Thou lovest to be near"

JESUS, our Lord, Thou lovest to be near

To loving hearts who find Thyself so dear;

The precious fruit of purpose, deep, divine,

Secured and held for this great love of Thine.

Thy bride alone, Thy cherished counterpart,

Can satisfy the longings of Thy heart;

"Thou art all fair, my love," we hear Thee say,

"Arise,   my   love,   my   fair   one—come away!"

Freely we yield ourselves to Thy great love,

Responding gladly, as afresh we prove

That Thou the Bridegroom art, who hast the bride

In Thine embrace—Thine own heart satisfied.
